Holby City is a spin-off from the long running BBC 1 medical drama Casualty. Set in the same hospital as its sister series, this show follows the everyday lives, professional and personal, of the doctors, nurses and patients who find themselves, for various reasons, in the wards of Holby City General Hospital.

Synopsis:
The Keller ward is about to re-open after major refurbishment and Ric wants to make sure everything goes smoothly. However, when he gets back to the hospital, he walks straight into a crisis as Diane struggles to deal with situation developing. Emotoions charged and strained, aren't help by the fact the thermostat is broken and the temperature in the ward is hovering around 90°C. Ric unfortunately has no alternative but to take charge of the situation and go ahead with his surgery schedule.
Meanwhile Diane and Chrissie nearly come to blows over Owen in front of patient Clayton Jones (Philip Quast), an Aussie pilot who is diagnosed with acoronary artery disease, who is more interested in flirting with the nurses than than the severity of his condition even when told he has left his condition untreated for so long that he will need to go on bypass, until his state suddenly becomes life-threatening
